About the Council Changes

Starting April 2026, Arun District Council is moving general waste collections to a fortnightly schedule. You’ll also receive a new, smaller 180-litre black bin if you haven't already. While they are introducing weekly food waste collections to help, for many families in estates like Bramley Green or the new builds off Roundstone Lane, waiting two weeks for the main bin simply isn't an option.

It’s not entirely their fault. The government’s 'Simpler Recycling' mandate requires councils to hit a 55% recycling target and introduce weekly food waste collections. To pay for the new food waste trucks and encourage recycling, they have to reduce the frequency of general waste collections. We support the recycling push, but we don't think you should be forced to live with overflow while you adjust.

No. Your council tax pays for the new weekly food waste service and the new bins being rolled out across the district. You are effectively paying the same for a different mix of services. If you want to maintain the weekly general waste collection you've always had, that is where we come in.

About Our Service

Absolutely not. You should keep using your council bins—you’ve paid for them, after all. We are a supplementary service. We swoop in on the weeks the council doesn't come, or every week if you generate a lot of waste. Think of us as your backup plan against the fortnightly squeeze.

100%. We are a fully licensed upper-tier licensed collectors. We adhere to the same strict environmental standards as the council. Your waste is disposed of responsibly at authorised transfer stations, not fly-tipped in a layby on the A259.

Yes. We cover the entire BN16 area. From the older cottages in the village centre to the family homes in Bramley Green, Cresswell Park, and the new developments near the rugby club. If your truck can get down your street, so can ours.

Then you don't need a subscription. We offer a simple 'Ad Hoc' one-off collection for exactly this reason. It’s perfect for post-party clear-ups, Christmas overflow, or a spring clean. You just book a single collection when you need it.

No. We empty your existing wheelie bins. We can also take up to 4 extra bags of waste if they are neatly bagged up beside the bin. If you are on our regular service, we’ll give you heavy-duty sacks to keep things tidy, but we work with what you have.

Pricing & Getting Started

It depends on how often you need us. Our Family Plan (2 collections a month to fill the council's gaps) is £29/month. If you just need a one-off clearance, it's £38. For businesses, we charge £59/month. It works out to roughly £6.70/week for a regular service—less than a couple of coffees in the village.

None. We don't believe in locking people in. You can cancel anytime with a simple email. We want you to stay because our service is brilliant, not because you signed a 12-month contract.

We set up a simple monthly Direct Debit for subscription plans. It comes out on the same day each month, so you don't have to worry about invoices. For one-off collections, you pay securely online when you book.

If you're on a subscription, we come anyway. You're paying for the reservation of space on our truck and the reliability of the service. However, most of our Angmering customers find that with the new 180L council bins, having us come on the 'off' weeks is a lifesaver.
